Davey de Lange - Founder

Hi. I’m Davey, the founder of the Social Guy. My friends have been calling me ‘Social Guy’ for as long as I can remember. This is because of my gift (or curse) of striking up a conversation with practically anyone: in a Vietnamese mountain village or a random gas station somewhere in the polder; I’m always talking. A few years ago I decided to combine my social nature with my love for building websites! That’s the beginning of the Social Guy.

It started as a mini-marketing agency, but we soon gathered a stable and fun team around us with whom we meet every day! I build & design websites and realize online growth through social media or SEO. I also enjoy ice climbing!

Mitch - Writer & SEO specialist

Hello. My name is Mitch and ever since I’ve been young I have been enjoying writing and thinking about stories! At the Social Guy I try to channel that creativity into building and writing for epic websites!

I like to explain things as clearly as possible which can be somewhat of a puzzle sometimes.In my spare time I like to throw my tent on my bike for wandering adventures far from home and in another part of my life I am a clown and mime player.

Jaap - Designer & CRO specialist

Hi there! I’m Jaap, the all-in-one copywriter and CRO specialist at the Social Guy. I have been working on websites and texts since high school. But I’m more than just a techie; I studied Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam, followed a minor in programming, and have occasionally written for the newspaper since my internship at Het Parool. I also teach art philosophy at the Haarlem Leiden Art Academy.

What does this mean for you? Very simple: I combine creativity with data to create killer content that converts. When I’m not busy boosting your ROI, you’ll find me behind a chessboard or in an art gallery. Ready to create something great together? Let’s go!

Michelle - Planning & administration

Hey, I’m Michelle. At The Social GuyI make sure everything runs smoothly! I am involved in planning and ensuring structure in the administration; then the creative people can do their thing ;). I also have a background in web hosting; I ensure that your website actually comes online.

When I am not keeping up with the administration, I am a busy mother of 3 kids and you can find me on the squash court.

Pol - Video maker and photographer

Hi, my name is Pol! As the in-house videographer and photographer at De Social Guy, I travel city and country to capture products, services and people! I once started as a video editor, but over the years I have increasingly found myself behind the camera… and I like it! I’m always up for an over-the-top corporate video with drones, fireworks and even more fuss!

In addition to my work at Social Guy, I work as a training actor for the Amsterdam Police and I can be seen in various films and series.

Thirza - Lunch lady

Hello all! I am Thirza, also known as the ‘lunch lady’ at De Social Guy. In addition to ensuring that no one has to work on an empty stomach, I take care of the planning and agenda. I am meticulous by nature and that is why I assist the team in checking for sloppiness and (language) errors. With 3 dyslexics on staff, I am actually indispensable!

At home I like to cook for friends and when I’m not in the kitchen, I enjoy drawing.
